Glasgow Museums Receive Request to Return Ancient Priest’s Mummy to Egypt

Glasgow Life, which manages Glasgow’s museums, confirmed on 2 November that it had received a request to send the mummified remains of the ancient Egyptian priest Nekht back to Egypt. The remains had recently been removed from public view at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The request puts the stewardship and return of Egyptian heritage in focus, although the snippet reports no decision on repatriation.
